From celebrities to high fashion runway models and designers everyone seems to love the traditional Big Red Bindi aka Bottu (Telugu). A simple way to make a strong statement and a personal favorite as well, one of my signature styles indeed. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Shyamal & Bhumika and many other designers have incorporated the large red bindi on their models, I also have done several dance ballets where I have gotten all my dancers to adorn this look. In fact while shooting for an american short film which had a Bollywood music video, I got my non indian co-dancers in the unit to wear the big red bindi and they looked stunning. Never doubt yourself or your facial structure, the bindi in itself adds beauty. A style statement that will surely make heads turn, as always keep it classy, traditional, elegant yet bold. Give it a shot and play around with different Bindi colors to see what suits your skin tone the best.
