Secrets Revealed: Hair Care
Ladies - Yes, yes, yes finally revealing my story of Hair maintenance, my hair brush my friend! HAIR CARE for straight/wavy hair. Its as simple as 1..2..3..4!!
1. Lather with a shampoo suitable for your hair type. Be sure to always consult a salon stylist or even your doctor regarding what your exact hair type is. I use TRESemme Naturals with aloe vera and avocado nourishing moisture.
2.CONDITIONER the key to HAIR CARE success! Don't forget to condition your hair. I use Silicone Free TRESemme Naturals Conditioner.** TIP to maintain long lasting volume, massage and leave in your conditioner 2-3 minutes from the ends of your hair to the hair upto your nape leaving the scalp area. This prevents the hair from looking flat at the top after drying. Also, try to stick to the same line of brands for shampoo and conditioner.
3. BLOW DRY. Make sure to NEVER EVER BRUSH your HAIR directly when its WET. Chances are heavy hair fall. Use a 3-4 inch WIDE TOOTH comb on wet hair to remove the tangles. Then I like to spray TRESemme Heat tamer protective spray before I blow dry to prevent damaging the hair caused by the heat. This way even if you straighten or curl it your not "frying" your hair.
4. STYLE/SET/GO. After you blow dry it, once its damp enough you can brush through using a fat brush and also combo it up by combing through it with the wide tooth comb if you still have tangles. By now it should settle down where the brushing and blow drying make it dry straight or wavy. If you choose to style, make sure you have a Sealing serum appropriate for your hair to lock in the shine. I use Matrix Sleek Look for special occasions to make my hair look Shiny and Healthy. Bangs are always tough to style and keep set, so spraying a bit of hair spray on to your fingers and dabbing it onto your bangs helps the bangs to stay in place.
But my rule of thumb is, the LESSER PRODUCTS used the BETTER for your HAIR. The lesser the ingredients in your shampoo/conditioner the BETTER for your HAIR. I prefer not to COLOR treat my hair but if you chose to, be sure to check out ORGANIC products over the counter or with your stylist. SECRET REVEALED: The salon I go to is BELLARMINE SALON over in SANTANA ROW, CA. A girls beauty lies in her hair so be sure to take good care of it. A trim every few months, drinking plenty of water, eating right sleeping right will add to the success of Healthy Hair Care so that you can FLAUNT THOSE LOCKS!! Cheers~!
